The 178 page Reno Model PTO Manual is a complete copy of the training manual used by the Reno Police Department and supplied to participants of the 40-hour Basic PTO Course.  This manual maintains the integrity of the model as designed, yet adds structure and training standards that practitioners felt were necessary

Reno Model Universal Learning Matrix  (Click for matrix)

 

The Universal Learning Matrix represents the standards of training and learning found in the Reno Model.  The Learning Matrix is based on Bloom's Taxonomy of Learning.  We are working on an update that will be more structured and should make journal entries more applicable to the program goals.

Reno Model Detention Officer Program Manual (Click for DTO Manual)

The Detention Training Officer Program was created by the Mesa County (CO) Sheriff's Office with the assistance of the Reno Police Department.  It has been edited and updated by Hoover Group of Reno staff.
